 Tim Foss has been tuning and repairing pianos for over 25 years. Having learned the trade from his father, Mark Foss, a certified piano tuner in Chicago, Tim has tuned or repaired hundreds of pianos. He will come to your house and give you an instant appraisal of your piano’s needs.
Tim practices what is known as “aural” tuning - the traditional way of tuning a piano “by ear”. After establishing a reference note, Tim adjusts the pitches of all the other notes based on that reference note - without relying on anything other than his ear.
As an accomplished musician, Tim will “put his ear” to the task and bring your piano back to life.
